Rocks as Building Blocks...

When Jesus came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives...

The whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen…

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus,                            "Teacher, rebuke your disciples!
                       "I tell you," he replied,
"If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out."

We all learn to build our foundation in tough times or easy times, rain or shine...
We can stand up and shout, "Life Rocks!"
Yes, life is a great adventure & a challenge

Stones was highly honored by prehistoric people because of their usefulness. Uneven bits of stone was man's first weapon, rocky cliffs and crags constituted his first fortifications, and from these vantage points loose boulders was poured down upon raiders. In caverns crafted from slabs of rock humans protected themselves. Stones were set up as markers to primitive achievementDuring migrations, it was apparently customary for primitive people to carry stones from their original habitat. The discovery of fire by striking two pieces of stone amplified man's reverence for stone worship.

History records the existence of stones, which when struck lobbed into a state of ecstasy. There were echoing images which whispered for hours itself even when room had become silent and musical stones fabricated the sweetest harmonies. In recognition of the sanctity hands were placed upon certain consecrated pillars when taking an oath.  In ancient times stones determined the fate of accused person, for it was customary for juries to reach verdicts by dropping pebbles into a bag.

The black stone appears several times in religious symbolism. This stone was sacred to the sun and declared to possess great and diversified properties. The black stone in Kaaba at Mecca dates back to Adam & Eve is still celebrated. It is said to be white originally and of such brilliancy that it could be seen many days ahead of reaching there, but as ages passed it became blackened by the tears of pilgrims and the sins of the world.

Numerous dinosaur prints have been found in the rocks, many people claim to have seen human footprints among them. Which were considered priceless. Meteors, rocks from heaven is considered a souvenir from God. The Oberammergau stone is chipped by Nature into a close resemblance of the face of Christ. Stones of such nature were held in the highest esteem among primitive people and even today exert a wide influence upon the religiously-minded.

Fragrances...

Perfume trails takes us away to the borders of civilization. The history of perfume is a reflection of humanity, a means of exchange, a protection against disease, a potion with divine virtues communicating its sense of commerce and medicine of the sacred and sensual. Perfume is thousands of years old - the word "perfume" comes from the Latin per fume "through smoke". One of the oldest uses of perfumes comes through burning of incense and aromatic herbs in religious services

Our senses are quick to respond to noble or foul smell. Smell is often our first response to stimuli. It alerts us to fire before we see flames. It makes us recoil before we taste rotten food. Neurological research in forefront are still exploring… What makes a seemingly rudimentary sense so tantalizing?

The association of fragrance and emotion is not an invention of poets or perfume-makers. Our olfactory receptors are directly connected to the part of the brain, which is thought to be the seat of emotion. Thus, by the time we correctly name a particular scent as, the scent has already activated triggering more deep-seated emotional responses. Although there is convincing evidence that pleasant fragrances can improve our mood and sense of well-being.

High-tech sniffers may be used not just for breath-smelling but also to detect other subtle changes in body odor that can indicate disease conditions. Our unique personal body-odor may also become an alternative form of identification. Because of differences in body chemistry, temperature, and body odors, no perfume will smell exactly the same on any two people.

Prophet Mohammed wrote, "Perfumes are foods that reawaken the spirit."

Using perfume to heal, make people feel good, improve relationships between the sexes are new frontiers being explored by the industry. The sense of smell is considered a right brain activity, which rules emotions, memory, and creativity. Aromatherapy advocates smelling oils fragrances cure physical and emotional problems.

Next time you get attracted to a noble smell do take few extra seconds in enjoying it to the core……..

Speechless...

You don't need to be validated; you are already valuable. We open ourselves to our own path once not distracted by the opinions of others. We have all taken opinions about our beauty, our creativity, our body shapes and our abilities and have realized the power of speech to stick in the mind and influence us. Few seconds emotionally charged words affect us for years. Speech can hurt or heal; it can start wars or resolve an argument; it can encourage confidence in a person or destroy it.

The power of speech spoken aloud or voiced in our heads combines sound and purpose to navigate our world. We constantly use the power of speech to create our world we live in which can be boring, full of anxiety and disasters, or it can be full of joy and positive experiences. How you describe your life is how it will be. We are responsible for our speech and the effect these words have on others. Each word that is spoken has a vibration of sound, which is never lost. There is a great responsibility in what is said and what is set in motion through our speech.

To harness the power of speech, using it in a good way in life is a daily challenge…..
One first needs to know how to listen…..allow yourself to be silent to truly hear. Be open to what you are hearing. Be daring and brave, not selective.
For listening one first needs to know how to learn. To learn from one and all; from what takes place around you and within you. To learn that the opportunity to learn is everywhere.
For learning one first needs to know that if life is to be lived it must surely be learned. Love, fear, ambition, vision, children, meaning, happiness, growing old, spirituality, God, marriage, peace—even laughter—each must be learned.
We must strive to embody what it means to learn, to listen and only then to speak. The words of the wise are heard softly, more than the shout. A gentle reply turns away wrath, but a distressing word stirs up anger.
“The wise ones fashioned speech with their thought, sifting it as grain is sifted through a sieve”.....Buddha

Humanimals

Human-animal connection from time memorial rolls down to companionship, protectors, workmates they have been with us in the fields, accompanied us in battles, aided us in rescue missions, comforted us in trauma & acted as service officers. This deep innate bond suggest our very sense of humanity. Yet a growing body of research into the human-animal connection shows the benefits are not just emotional. They boost infant immunity, help with mental health disorders, and lower blood pressure. We benefit from the quiet, non-judgmental nature of their presence it’s a powerful two-way bond.

Animals have served as a critical food source. Hunting represented a human evolutionary progress. Hunters honored as well as appropriated their skills from observing the techniques of non-human predators. Affinity for animals helped in the domestication process.

Are people hardwired to pay attention, respond to, and be stimulated by animals? The answer is yes. Caused by primitive relationships between predator and prey, people have increased brain activity when confronted by animals, signalling the individual to run, hide, or admire. Years of zooming away or zooming to animals left its mark in the brain, where looking at a photo of an animal also leaves us with a wobble.

Learn how we are twinning each other

Humans have complex ears, startlingly katydid's insects have the same set as ours…

Humans reign supreme in the arena of language, parrot following few steps surprisingly even elephants can figure out how to make the same sounds we do. An Asian elephant living in a South Korean zoo has learned to mimic human words…

Weird faces which we make in pain? Are enacted by mice too…

Octopus make shelters out of coconut shells when ready to go to a new place all it has to do is stack the shells like bowls, grasp them with stiff legs, and waddle away to a new location. Something what we do when we make houses of bamboo….

Humans & Chimps share 98.8 percent of DNA…

The Animal Connection reaffirms our love of animals as something both innate and distinctly human.
